Minor (child) consent

Minor (child) consent is an express authorization from the legal representatives of a child under 18 years of age to:

• To travel without their legal representatives or in the company of one of them:

To MERCOSUR countries in which case your Identity Card is required as identification document.

 To other countries that expressly require the consent form, regardless of having a valid Passport.

• To obtain a Passport.

Legal representatives must go in person to the Consular Office or to the Travel Documentation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the following documentation:

This procedure has a cost of SAR 67.50 (sixty-seven and fifty Saudi Arabian Rial), payable by bank transfer payable to "Embassy of Uruguay Consular Section", cash is not accepted.

An appointment is required for this procedure.

Important:

• Minor's consent form to obtain a Passport:

Once the minor's consent form is issued by this Consulate, you have a period of one year to go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Uruguay and withdraw it. Once this permit has been withdrawn, it will be valid for a maximum of 30 days.

• Minor's consent form to travel: it is valid for one year from its issuance.

In the event that:

• The minor resides in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq or Yemen and the parents do not appear jointly, the missing parent must in any case appear before the Consulate of their jurisdiction or before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Uruguay if you live there, to authorize and sign the minor's permit.

• The minor resides in Uruguay and one of the parents resides abroad, he must appear before the consular office of his jurisdiction for such purposes.
