Cédula de Identidad (Uruguayan ID Card)
Uruguayan ID Card (Cédula de Identidad) can only be renewed for natural and national Uruguayan citizens, in the cases of it being expired or lost.
Requirements and documentation to present on the day of your appointment:

Adult Renewal
- Uruguayan ID card (expired or about to expire).
- We will finger print you, as well as take your picture and signature here at the Consulate.
- Cost: SAR 67.50, to be deposited or transferred to the Embassy’s bank account –Cash is not accepted- .
- If you wish that your Cédula de Identidad should be mailed to your residence, you will have to bring, on the day of your appointment, a paid order of a private carrier.
- The Uruguayan ID card will be received by this Consular Office in an approximate period of four to six weeks beginning on the day that the Passport was processed.

Minor’s Renewal
- Uruguayan ID card (expired or about to expire).
- We will finger print you, as well as take your picture and signature here at the Consulate.
- The minor will have to be present on the day of the appointment.
- Both parents will also have to be present on the day of the appointment with a valid ID. If for whatever reason, one of the parents cannot be present on the appointed day they will have to obtain a minor’s permit.
- Cost: SAR 67.50, to be deposited or transferred to the Embassy’s bank account –Cash is not accepted- .
- If you wish that your Cédula de Identidad should be mailed to your residence, you will have to bring, on the day of your appointment, a paid order of a private carrier.
